This quilt measured 103″ x 95 1/2″ folks, I think it is the biggest I have ever done in one piece. My little Bernina stood up to the test though bless it…

My machine - a hand's width

Here then is the completed quilt, it was fun to do but Debbie, can they be a little smaller pretty please?

It was actually draping on the floor for this photo…
Debbie's Quilt 1This is the back of the quilt, you can’t see the quilting but it is a pretty backing fabric…

Debbie's Quilt 2Close up of one of the ‘plates’ I love the centre of these…

Debbie's Quilt 3 The back of the previous photo, it shows the quilting more on the back for some reason!!

Debbie's Quilt 4–  this is showing the Irish Chain part in between the ‘plates’

Debbie's Quilt 5Two borders had this treatment on them – the little squares I am talking about. The big white space gave me something to think about when I came to quilting them, I opted to quilt a ‘ghost half plate’ in them, hope Debbie thinks that is the right thing to have done…

Debbie's Quilt 6Showing half back and front at the same time, thought this was clever of me ha ha ha…

Debbie's Quilt 7This one shows the corner treatment of one border and more of the back…

Debbie's Quilt 8– showing reverse of the little squares and how I quilted them…

Debbie's Quilt 9So there it is, it took me a long time to do this Quilt and I have to say once or twice I came pretty close to tears as it was so big and so incredibly heavy to move around as I was quilting it, but it is all done and dusted now and Debbie has it back already. Hubby doesn’t want me to do any more HUGE ones like this as the air was pretty blue sometimes 🙂

Thank you Debbie for trusting me with this quilt even if I did call it the Monster

Since finishing this one, Tessa sent me another quilt and I have it completed and posting it back to her on Monday, I appear to be on a roll.

Hmm what do you say about yourself? I am a Quilter. I just love to Quilt for myself and others. I love fabrics and threads, simple things, but they make me very happy.
